School Sensory Program

Incursion sensory programs are interactive and educational experiences for children with autism and special needs.

Our programs offer activities that stimulate multiple senses, such as touch, hearing, sight, smell, and body awareness. Children can play with sensory materials, move around, listen to music, and practice mindfulness.

Different activities are provided to meet different sensory needs and preferences. The programs are scheduled sessions that create a predictable and safe environment for students with autism, reducing anxiety and promoting participation.

Benefits of sensory regulation include improved sensory processing, engaging in activities that help regulate sensory systems, promoting self-awareness, self-regulation, and understanding sensory preferences and sensitivities. Improved sensory regulation can positively impact attention, behaviour, and overall well-being in school.

A mobile sensory room can help to support the development of special needs students at school by providing a multi-sensory environment in which students can explore, interact and experience different sensations.

This can help to improve their communication, physical and cognitive skills, as well as helping to improve their concentration and ability to focus.

Additionally, the use of calming sounds, lights and tactile objects can help to reduce stress and anxiety levels and provide a calming atmosphere for learning.
